ACCELERATED CIRCUIT TRAINING Combines SEVERAL TYPES OF EXERCISE INTO ONE WORKOUT. 

VARIETY WITH EFFICIENCY IS THE CENTER OF ACT.

Think basic circuit training (moving through a series of strength exercises) + heart-rate driving cardio intervals-- all with varied work time and rest time.

Circuit workouts are a great way to keep a workout exciting AND get a lot of work done in a short amount of time.  They are extremely versatile-- whatever you need, whatever level of fitness-- they are created with YOU in mind.

Instead of working on a certain exercise for several sets before moving on to the next (let's be honest-- this can be looong and boring), you move through a series of exercises based on timed intervals. 

Build endurance through high work time/light resistance.  Build strength with low work time/heavy resistance.  Build cardiovascular efficiency, speed, power, and agility though intervals at varied work/rest time. 

Keep moving and you'll discover a whole new level.

Boredom is one of the top reasons we lose excitement for our fitness.  RE:ACT and get motivated!


RE:ACT IS EVEN MORE EXCITING BECAUSE IT INCORPORATES DIFFERENT KINDS OF CIRCUITS BASED ON YOUR GOALS-- AEROBIC, ANAEROBIC (MORE WORK, LESS REST), AND HIGH INTENSITY/TABATA INTERVALS. 


High impact and low impact are available options depending on what is right for your body.  Light weight/high rep, heavy weight/low reps, simple aerobic moves, fast cardio intervals, the list goes on-- all in one workout.

With varied circuits, you will tap into different energy systems to create an all around, efficient, calorie burning body.  You'll work all types of muscles fibers to strengthen and tone!

ACT is a great way to burn a lot of calories, strengthen and tone, and increase your cardiovascular fitness in a short amount of time.

How does ACT training burn more calories and optimize results?

  • Increased heart rate during exercise = increased oxygen consumption = more calories burned
  • Intense intervals and elevated heart rate increases calories burned post-exercise due to the EPOC effect
  • Activate fast-twitch muscle fibers to increase strength and muscle tone, and train slow twitch muscle fibers for endurance and stability
  • Building muscle = higher resting metabolism
  • Activate anaerobic energy systems for increased calorie and fat burn
  • Activate aerobic energy systems for cardiovascular efficiency.  A more efficient body can work harder to burn more calories

HOW IS IT DESIGNED?

It is all based on time.  You work until the timer buzzes or you hit your max!

Each circuit has you moving through a series of exercises, with efficiency and variety.  Perform each exercise for the allotted time, rest for varied times, and move on to the next. 

As you keep moving through the ACTs, your heart rate spikes—this means ultimate calorie burn during and after your workout!


WHAT TYPES OF EXERCISES WILL YOU SEE IN YOUR ACT? 

Every ACT is a combination of lower body, upper body, combo moves, and cardio intervals. 

THE COMBINATIONS ARE ENDLESS!  HERE ARE SOME GENERALIZED CATEGORIES:

  • Core
  • Cardio Intervals—speed, power, agility (high or low impact)
  • Upper Body Strength
  • Lower Body Strength
  • Balance
  • Multi-Directional Movement
  • Stretch

THE 4 CORE TYPES OF ACTS INCLUDE: PUSH, PULL, BURN, AND RANDOM

Standard ACTs highlight specific muscle groups (push/pull) but always incorporate core work (including balance and multi-directional movement) and cardio intervals to increase speed, power, and agility.  

Burn ACTs focus more intensely on one muscle group for a boost in strength building and calorie burn.  Burn it out to reach your specific toning goals! 

Random ACTs keep you guessing—with a variety of combinations that don’t necessarily follow the standard routine.   When you keep your body guessing, you keep progressing!
